Beginner Box
The Foundations Beginner Box is designed as someone's very first contact with Magic: The Gathering. Two players sit down, follow the step-by-step How to Play guides and learn the rules by actually playing, one guided turn after another.
The box holds ten themed Jumpstart packs of 20 Foundations cards each. Two of them set up the guided tutorial games, and once the basics click, any two packs shuffle together into a ready deck for a fresh matchup. These packs are made for this box and contain no cards from Foundations Jumpstart. Two gameboard playmats, two Spindown life counters, two reference cards and a reference guide booklet complete the set.
It is aimed at families, couples and friends who have never played, and at experienced players who want a painless way to teach. When the new player wants more cards to build with, the Starter Collection is the logical next step.
