Starter Collection
The Foundations Starter Collection is a ready-made card pool for building Magic: The Gathering decks from scratch. Inside are 387 fixed cards, among them 75 of rare or higher, 26 traditional foils, six borderless cards and 90 basic lands, ten of those full art. Staples such as Sol Ring and Command Tower are part of the list, as is one of each Foundations character land.
On top of the fixed cards come three Foundations Play Boosters, 13 two-sided tokens, a pair of reference cards and a click-wheel life counter. A deckbuilding booklet walks through constructing your own lists, and a storage box with dividers keeps the collection in order.
It suits a player who has learned the rules, perhaps with the Beginner Box, and now wants enough cards in every colour to test ideas without hunting singles. Note that a few cards come from Foundations Commander and are not legal in Standard.
