7 Wonders hands you one of the great cities of the ancient world and three Ages in which to make it shine. Each Age starts with a hand of cards: you keep one, play it, and pass the rest along, and because the whole table chooses at the same moment there is no waiting for your turn. Brown and grey cards give materials and goods, blue ones bring points, red ones build an army to test against your two neighbours, green ones advance science and purple Guilds pay off for particular plans. Alongside all that you raise your Wonder stage by stage, using either its Day or its Night side.
This is the new Second Edition from Repos Production, designed by Antoine Bauza, with refreshed art and a cleaner layout. Anywhere from three to seven people can play, from age 10, and a session stays near half an hour at any count.
It is also the box that the Leaders, Cities, Armada and Edifice expansions build on.
