Expansion for Splendor — requires the base game.
Two modules make up The Silk Road, an add-on for Splendor, and you can use them separately or together. The Cities module removes the Noble tiles and puts City tiles in their place, each setting its own requirements for victory, so the target you race towards changes from game to game.
The Trading Posts module lays out stacks of tiles, four in each of five colours, that you claim by meeting their conditions. Each Trading Post grants a power that bends the usual rules, and once you have earned one you keep it even if your position changes later.
Mix either module into the base game to give experienced players fresh priorities without slowing the brisk turns Splendor is known for. A copy of Splendor is needed to play. The box holds 7 double-sided City tiles, 20 Trading Post tiles, 1 Noble tile and the rules. Playable by 2 to 4 people at ages 10+, in around 30 minutes.
