Secret Lair
Foil makes Thomas Baxa's horrors even stranger. His Artist Series drop puts Ob Nixilis Reignited, Sire of Insanity, Sliver Hivelord and Spellskite in a fresh nightmare style, as if pulled straight from a bad dream.
In traditional foil, the pale flesh and warped shapes in his art pick up an eerie glow, which makes them look striking in a binder or behind glass. The cards keep their normal rules text, so the foil Sliver Hivelord works as a commander and Ob Nixilis still draws cards and removes threats.
Besides the four, a sketch Spellskite is packed in as the bonus card.
The drop belongs to the Out of Time Superdrop, the same release as the Johannes Voss Artist Series. Collectors of horror art and players with a dark streak are the natural audience.
