Secret Lair
Victor Adame Minguez gave his Artist Series a futuristic edge. His four picks, Knight Exemplar, Knight of the White Orchid, Lord of the Undead and Compost, are painted with a sleek science fiction feel that is quite unlike their original art, and he also worked on the flavor text.
This is the non-foil printing, so his clean shapes and cool colours stay sharp without any reflection. Knight Exemplar and Knight of the White Orchid fit straight into a knights deck, Lord of the Undead backs zombie builds, and Compost is a sideboard classic. According to MTG Wiki, this is also the first black border reprint of Compost.
A bonus card is included: the sketch version of Knight Exemplar.
The drop was released in the August Superdrop and is a good fit for collectors who like a modern art style on older cards.
