Secret Lair
The foil Volkan Baga Artist Series brings together Elspeth, Knight-Errant, Patron Wizard, Berserk and Verduran Enchantress in Baga's classical, lifelike style. Its flavor text is all German, his mother tongue, which made these the first English cards to carry flavor text only in that language.
With traditional foil, the warm light in his portraits takes on a soft gleam, a fine match for Elspeth as a centrepiece in a binder. On Patron Wizard he honours his former teacher Donato Giancola, who painted the original card and now appears in the new scene.
A sketch Elspeth, Knight-Errant comes along as the bonus card.
For Baga collectors and anyone who enjoys a bit of German on the battlefield, the foil is the version to own. The drop appeared in the June Superdrop.
