Secret Lair
In the foil etched edition of Crocodile Jackson's Monstrous Menagerie, the tattoo artist's creatures pick up the soft metallic sheen that etched foiling gives. Jackson drew all five cards in his flash sheet style, borderless, with flavor text written as if he had met each monster himself. Wizards sold it in the second anniversary superdrop of the series.
All five cards are foil etched: Winding Constrictor, Temur Sabertooth, Pathbreaker Ibex, Managorger Hydra and Ravenous Chupacabra. This box marked the foil debut of Pathbreaker Ibex. The bonus card is Lurking Crocodile, a fitting mascot for the drop.
Etched foils are a favourite finish for Commander players who want cards that catch the light without heavy glare, and Hydra, Sabertooth and Constrictor all see play there. This version is the one to pick if you collect the premium finish.
