Secret Lair
Twin peaks for the twins. Secret Lair's Gemini entry for The Astrology Lands shows a Mountain where two jagged summits stand side by side, each carved with a masked cave entrance and topped with golden towers, against a swirling sky of yellow, green and purple. Jeanne D'Angelo painted it, and this non-foil drop gives you five copies of the full-art land, collector number 389.
The idea she settled with astrologer Maya Brooks: depict two subjects that look alike yet stay clearly different, a picture of the twins. Gemini is an air sign with birthdays from 21 May to 20 June, which explains the moving, colourful sky shared with Aquarius and Libra. It was the sixth sign in the series.
A random bonus card came with each drop. Mountains are the backbone of any red deck, and five of one art keep a mono red Commander list or an aggressive deck tidy.
