Card Game
Board Games2–5 playersen
Exploding Kittens is the card game from Elan Lee, Shane Small and Matthew Inman of The Oatmeal that became the most backed project Kickstarter had ever seen. The rule is simple: on your turn you draw a card, and whoever draws an Exploding Kitten without a Defuse card to save them is out. Last player still in one piece wins.
Everything else in the deck is there to help you dodge that fate or push it onto someone else. Cards let you skip a draw, attack the next player so they must draw twice, peek at the top of the pile or shuffle it. As the deck thins the odds of a kitten climb, and the table gets louder.
This English original edition holds 56 cards with Inman's artwork plus a short rulebook. Two to five can play, from age seven, and a game rarely lasts beyond a quarter of an hour. English copies are needed for the English expansion packs.
