Harmonies is a landscape building game from Libellud, designed by Johan Benvenuto with art by Maëva Da Silva. On your turn you take a set of three coloured wooden tokens from the central board and place them on your personal board, stacking them to raise mountains, grow trees and add buildings, or laying them flat as fields and water. You may also claim an animal card from the display, each showing a small terrain pattern; build that pattern and an animal cube moves from the card onto your landscape.
Every terrain scores in its own way, mountains by height as long as they touch another mountain and fields by connected group, so each token you place is a trade off between land and wildlife.
One to four players, ages 10 and over, can expect around half an hour per game. A solo mode is included, the Nature's Spirit cards add a richer goal once you know the basics, and the reverse of the boards lets you build islands instead.
