Expansion for Forest Shuffle — requires the base game.
Exploration, the third expansion deck in the Forest Shuffle line, is the one that finally makes it a solo game. Its 55 cards come in three groups. First is an official Automa deck, designed by Anna Triebert, that plays the part of an opponent and sets 12 challenges to beat on your own.
Second is a complete set of new caves with individual, asymmetric powers, which replace the regular caves from the base game and give each player a different edge to build towards. Third is a selection of 15 special cards showing rare species found across the globe, previously only available as promos.
You can add any of the three parts to your games, so the box suits both solo players and groups looking for variety. It needs the Forest Shuffle base game and includes a rulebook. Kosch designed the base system; this deck opens it to 1 to 5 players, 10 and up, in roughly sixty minutes.
