Expansion for Forest Shuffle — requires the base game.
Woodland Edge moves Forest Shuffle to the margin where trees give way to open ground. The expansion brings 36 new multifunctional cards: bushes and hedges that offer shelter and new spots to place your species, plus the animals and plants that live along the forest border.
Shrubs work a little differently from trees, giving your forest a second kind of anchor to build around. Combined with the new species, that adds noticeable variety to which combinations pay off and how you pace a game. As with the base set, a number of cards are removed before play depending on how many people are at the table.
Shuffle the cards into your existing deck and play as usual; a rulebook explains the additions. You need the Forest Shuffle base game. Like the rest of the line it is a Kosch design from Lookout, for 2 to 5 players of 10 and older, and a full game runs about an hour.
