Expansion for Dixit — requires the base game.
Dixit: MNK swaps dreamlike modern illustration for classical art. Made by Libellud with the Polish publisher Rebel and the National Museum in Kraków, its 84 cards show fragments of works from the museum's collection, among them Leonardo's Lady with an Ermine, Olga Boznańska's Girl with Chrysanthemums, Jacek Malczewski's Young Poland and Jan Matejko's Wernyhora.
Cropping a painting changes how it reads. A detail of a hand, a sky or a face loses its original story and becomes the kind of open image Dixit thrives on, while art lovers get the extra pleasure of recognising a canvas.
Play the pack as a deck of its own or shuffle it into the cards of any Dixit base game, which you need for the board, voting and rules. Scoring is unchanged and the game ends when someone passes 30 points. It works for tables of three to six, ages eight and older, and makes a thoughtful gift for museum regulars.
